While they will not conform to your body because of the thick rope, they are very comfortable and are also generally more durable than other types of hammocks. When choosing a rope hammock, remember that the smaller the space between the ropes, the more comfortable it will be.
A variation on the hammock types theme is the hammock chair. These are usually suspended from a ceiling joist indoors or from a crossbeam on a patio. Like hammocks these are extremely comfortable and ideal to relax in. As the name suggests you sit upright in them rather than lie in them which means they are more comfortable for reading in or watching tv if you choose to hang one indoors.
